The Giza-Media Appellate Misdemeanor Court acquitted Reham Saeed, in the lawsuit against her, from two overweight women, on charges of insulting them, because of her statements about obesity.

The Giza Department of Misdemeanor Court had issued a decision not to accept the lawsuit filed by lawyer Ashraf Nagy, No. 18938 of 2019 against the media, Reham Saeed, and the accusations leveled against her of insulting people suffering from “obesity” diseases, during one of the episodes of her program on a satellite channel.

The court stated, in the reasons for its ruling, in which the court ruled that the case was not admitted, that the perpetrator of the case had not been charged with the accused, that there was personal abuse and that the papers were free of that.

Lawyer Ashraf Naji submitted a communication accusing the journalist Reham Saeed of contempt of a group of citizens and insulting obese patients, as it aroused the anger of citizens, after describing obese patients as ugly, and insulting them as dependent on their families and a burden on the state, and that they were “dead” through its famous program “Sabaya” “.

The National Council for Women also filed a complaint against it and against the program, and after that the channel decided to suspend the program until the investigations were completed.
