Because of Erdogan, the owner of the fastest goal in the history of the World Cup, he works as an “Uber” driver in America

The legend of Galata Saray and the former Turkish national team, Hakan Shukur, said that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan took everything from him and turned from “legend” to “driver” Uber in the streets of the United States.

Hakan Shukor has the fastest goal in the history of the World Cup, as he scored after 11 seconds against South Korea during the 2002 World Cup to determine the third place.

Hakan Shukur, a 48-year-old Albanian, said that the Turkish state “denounced him” and “became an enemy” to it, and confiscated his money.

Hakan Shukor scored the most goals in the history of Turkey, as he scored more than 380 goals in all competitions and local, European and international competitions.

The story of Shukur began with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his party, the Development and Justice Party, in 2011, after entering the political battle. In June of that year, he was elected a member of Parliament and a representative of the Justice and Development Party for the second region in Istanbul province.

In December 2013, Shukor resigned from the party to protest his practices, and he became an independent member of parliament.

In February 2016, Shukor was accused of insulting Erdogan on Twitter, and in August of the same year, he was issued a warrant for his arrest for allegedly belonging to the Gulen movement.

In an interview with the German newspaper “Felt Om Zontag”, Schockor pointed out that the hostility had grown, that stones had been thrown at his wife’s shop and that his children were being harassed in the street, and that he received threats every time he issued a permit.

In November 2017, Shukor was forced to flee Turkey, and he made a voluntary exile from San Francisco, California, and proceeded to plans to own a restaurant in Palo Alto.

He pointed out that the authorities in Turkey imprisoned his father after leaving Turkey, and he is now under house arrest, where he was diagnosed with cancer while in prison. The authorities also confiscated all his properties and assets, according to the website “Ghoul”, which specializes in sports news.

Shukor said in remarks: “I have nothing left anywhere in the world. Erdogan took everything from me. My right to freedom, the right to expression and the right to work. ”

He clarified that everyone who has a relationship with the former player is now facing difficulties, whether on the financial or life level. Shukur learned that a Turkish student in the United States took a picture with him and was imprisoned for 14 months.

He indicated that he worked as a book seller in the United States, and is currently working as an Uber driver in order to make a living.

According to Shukor, when he joined the Justice and Development Party, Turkey was a country that conforms to the standards of the European Union, but Erdogan’s policy led to difficult times, and the country went in a completely different direction, by heading towards the Middle East instead of Europe.

According to Shukor, everything he did in Turkey was legal, challenging the Turkish authorities to prove or reveal any crime he committed, and he continued, saying: “I am an enemy of the government, and I am not an enemy of the Turkish state or nation .. I love our knowledge and love our country.”
