An official source at the Ministry of Health and Population revealed the fact that a female doctor, Fatima Moussa, claimed to transfer her to the investigation because she did not attend the 2017 compulsory batch of the investigation, despite the accident that some of her colleagues suffered while traveling to attend the training in Cairo.
The documents, of which “Al-Watan” obtained a copy, stated that Dr. Fatima Musa Abdullah, who works at the Zawiyat Hatim Unit, was summoned to the legal affairs of the administration through the unit clerk, Saleh Abbad, in the presence of her, and the dentist Mahmoud Hassan Abdel Moneim, and the pharmacist doctor Ali Mahmoud, on Thursday, corresponding to 16 January, regarding the report of the passage of the financial and administrative inspection of the Zawiyat Hatim Unit.
The documents added that the financial and administrative report confirmed that the investigation of her was not related to the Women’s Health Initiative, or that there was an investigation into the absence of any female doctor from attending the training at the Ministry.
It is worth noting that Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population, confirmed her continuous follow-up of the health status of the victims of the Desert Cream Road accident that occurred yesterday, Wednesday, and a number of Minya governorate doctors were traveling to Cairo, through a team of ministry leaders present continuously in the Nasser Institute Hospital, which includes Dr. Mohamed Hassani, Assistant Minister for Public Health Initiatives, Dr. Sherif Wadih, Adviser to the Minister of Health for Urgent and Urgent Care, and Dr. Mohamed Shawky, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Cairo to monitor the status of the injured and submit a report on their health status around the clock to the Minister of Health.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and the official spokesperson of the ministry, explained that the health of the 16 injured is stable and all of them are subject to the necessary medical care, adding that there are 3 cases of similar recovery and expected to be discharged during the next few hours, pointing out that the injuries varied between fractures Cut wounds, bruises on separate areas of the body.
He pointed out that there are 3 cases in intensive care, receiving treatment and care, and a team of professors and consultants supervises them.
He went on to say that Dr. Hala Zayed directed to provide support in all its forms to the injured and the families of the deceased, especially psychological support for them, and also directed Dr. Mona Abdel Maksoud, head of the General Secretariat of Mental Health in this regard, to form teams of doctors to provide psychological and moral support, the impact of this painful accident.
