The Italian newspaper, Corriere dello Sport, spread widely around the world, surprised the interest of Al-Ahly club in contracting with Jambi Lamin Gallo, the player of Salernitana, who is active in the second division in Italy, “Seria B”.
Corriere dello Sport said in a report published today, Friday, that the Jamaican striker Lamin Gallo was close to moving to Lazio, and indicated that the player might change his destination suddenly in light of the presence of two offers from Al-Ahly club and the Croatian Haydok Split club.
The Italian newspaper claimed that Al-Ahly made a bid of 5 million euros for the contract with Gallo, and indicated that the Croatian Haydock Split club is still open to contracting with the Gambian striker.
The 24-year-old has not played in any country other than Italy after he left Gambia, since he moved to the Chievo Verona team during the summer transfer period of the 2014/2015 season.
Lamin Gallo moved between a number of Italian clubs, where he played for: Citadella, Trapani Calcio and Club Cesena, but he was transferred to them on loan from Chievo Verona, before he finally moved to the ranks of his current team, Salernitana.
The Jambian international striker participated this season in his team’s jersey in 15 games in all competitions, during which he scored 6 goals, and he made one goal.
