Mahmoud Al-Khatib, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Ahly Club, received today, Tuesday, Major General Mohamed Zamalout, Governor of the New Valley, at Al-Jazirah headquarters, and a long dialogue took place between them on ways of cooperation between the club and the governorate during the coming period, within the framework of Al-Ahly’s policy of cooperation with state institutions, including It serves the interest of the Egyptian club and sport in general and completes the community role of Al Ahly, which is played by the Board of Directors, and is keen on it since assuming responsibility.During the fruitful session, Maj. Gen. Muhammad Al-Zamlout reviewed the infrastructure of the New Valley Governorate, which owns 40% of the area of the Arab Republic of Egypt, as well as a good sports infrastructure that includes a 26-acre sports stadium, a swimming pool, a running track, and a five-a-side stadium of artificial grass.
Al-Khatib discussed with the governor of the New Valley many aspects of cooperation, foremost of which are environmental and medical tourism trips for the members of the general assembly of the club in the New Valley, and holding cultural seminars on the preservation of Al-Ahly members within the framework of the “I know your country” program organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The session witnessed a positive dialogue about the possibility of launching a new branch of Al-Ahly Academy in the New Valley, as well as conducting tests for juniors in the governorate. The meeting also discussed the possibility of sponsoring Al-Ahly for 3 athletes from the Governor of the New Valley.
For his part, Major General Mohamed Al-Zamlout expressed his great happiness to visit the club, to be present in this great sporting edifice, and the good reception on the part of Captain Mahmoud Al-Khatib, indicating that cooperation with Al-Ahly is a pleasure and a matter of great interest and appreciation, especially as it relates to the club with white hands on sports Egyptian.
He pointed out that sports clubs must have a societal role in the various governorates of Egypt, which is what Al Ahly does to the fullest extent, indicating that cooperation is a positive step to serve the province in particular and Egyptian sports in general.
