Prince Khalid bin Salman headed the Saudi delegation participating in the opening ceremony of the Bernese military base on the Red Sea coast.

The Saudi Deputy Minister of Defense attended the opening ceremony of the Bernice military base, the opening of the air base and viewing the air show, and the Qadir exercise exercise (2020), then he went to the command and control center, as he witnessed the helicopter carrier (Mistral) and the second part of the naval exercise.

Yesterday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi opened the Bernice military base in the Red Sea Governorate, near the country’s southern border with Sudan.

The base is located on the Red Sea coast near the southern international border, east of the city of Aswan, and has an area of ​​150,000 acres, and includes a naval base, an air base, a military hospital, a number of combat and administrative units, and fields of shooting and training for all weapons.

The base includes a commercial berth, a passenger reception station, multi-purpose berths, berths for storing general cargo, container berths and yards, as well as Bernice International Airport and a seawater desalination plant.
