On Thursday, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi stressed the deep bonds of friendship and lasting love between the Egyptian and Emirati peoples.
In a post on his Facebook account, the President said: “Today, with my brother Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, I honored the launching of the Sharm El Sheikh Heritage Festival, which confirms the depth of the bonds of friendship and lasting love that unite the Egyptian and Emirati peoples.”
The festival will take place at the International Camel Track in Sharm El Sheikh, which witnesses camel shows and races and Bedouin and Emirati heritage exhibitions with the participation and cooperation of the UAE.
The festival included a display of camel skills for the sisterly state of the Emirates and a race for camels for Egyptian tribes.
Within the activities, a joint Egyptian-Egyptian exhibition was held to display Bedouin heritage products in the UAE and Egypt, for more than 100 exhibitors, in cooperation with the ministries of Social Solidarity, Trade and Industry in Egypt, in addition to folk art shows of the Arish Band of Folk Art in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture.
