Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that his country is sending military forces to Libya.

“We will start sending our military forces to Libya … We will continue to use all our political, commercial, humanitarian, diplomatic and military capabilities to stabilize the region in the south of our country,” Erdogan said during the 2019 annual evaluation meeting.

The discussions between the foreign and defense ministers of Russia and Turkey with the Libyan parties had continued for more than about six hours, during consultations in Moscow with the Prime Minister of the Libyan Accord Government, Fayez al-Sarraj and the leader of the Libyan National Army Field Marshal Khalifa Hifter, to discuss the possibility of reaching an agreement between the Libyan parties To stop the fire.

The parties to the conflict in Libya have announced a ceasefire from January 12, and the Berlin conference will be held in the German capital, next Sunday, with the aim of discussing ways to find a solution to the Libyan crisis and ensure a ceasefire, as Berlin invited 11 countries to participate in the conference, namely the states United, Britain, Russia, France, China, Turkey, Italy, Emirates, Egypt, Algeria, and Congo, next to Prime Minister Al-Wefaq Fayez al-Sarraj and Libyan Army Commander-in-Chief Khalifa Haftar.
