FilGoal | News | Enppi bid farewell to the draws. Egypt Club wastes a point and loses to the Petroleum

Egypt club tied more than its host Enppi, losing 2-1 on Saturday at Petrosport in round 14 of the Egyptian Premier League.

Egypt Club, which plays its first season in its Premier League history, almost snapped a point from the Petroleum, but Mohamed Sharif’s goal put an end to the series of draws Enppi, who drew in the last 4 games of the championship.

Enppi rose to sixth in the league standings, raising its score to 20 points, while Egypt Club continued in 15th place with a score of 11 points.

Defender Ibrahim Yahya opened the goals of the match in the 33rd minute with a header, to return to visit the net in the league after an absence of 1318 days, since he scored against the Vanguard of the Army in the 2015-2016 season.

But he made a mistake in the 72nd minute, giving Egypt club a penalty that was successfully scored by Mostafa Sultan after he hit the ball hard to the right of goalkeeper Mahmoud Gad.

Misr Tharwat, the goalkeeper of the Egyptian club, wasted his team dearly, after using this, Mohamed Sharif, to play the ball from above the first to take the net in the 78th minute.

Sharif, who plays for Enby loaned from Al-Ahly, raised his score to 8 goals in the current season of the league and has not scored more than him so far except Abdullah Al-Saeed, the star of Pyramids, who tops the scorers with 10 goals.

Enppi will be visiting Al-Ahly on Wednesday in the 15th round of the league, while Egypt will play Pyramids on January 29th.
