The Egyptian handball team succeeded in overcoming the obstacle of the Algerian national team to reach the final of the African Nations Cup currently held in Tunisia.

The Egyptian team beat Algeria 30-30 to fly to the final of the championship.

And the Pharaohs settled the first half by a single goal difference (15) – (14), before Ahmed Al-Ahmar’s comrades excelled in the second half and broke the Algerian steadfastness.

Egypt is awaiting in the final, the winner of Tunisias match against Angola, for Sunday’s African Championship final.

Egypt is seeking to win the championship to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics directly.

The African championship winner arrives directly in Tokyo 2020, while the runner-up is running a global supplement to compete for the qualification card.

Egypt and Tunisia met in the final of the last two copies of the championship, where Egypt won in Cairo in 2016 and the Pharaohs lost the last final in Gabon two years ago.

Egypt seeks to win its seventh championship to equal the Algerian national team, while Tunisia won the title 10 times.
