Today, Thursday, a group of foxes attacked Kafr Azab Ghonaim village, Kafr Shukr, Qalyubia Governorate.
The residents sent appeals through social media to the governorates of Qaliubiya and the Directorate of Veterinary Medicine, during which they expressed their fear of going out at night, due to the foxes attacking the farms in the villages of Al-Baqashin and Kafr Azab Ghoneim, Kafr Kafr Shukr.
The people were able to hunt one of the foxes and hung them on a tree, calling for veterinary medicine to intensify campaigns to spread poisonous baits, to eliminate those foxes, as was the case with stray dogs.
A resident of the village, Rifaat Mohamed, a lawyer, said that the villages of “Al-Baqashin and Kafr Azab Ghunaim” spread foxes in a frightening way, and they wandered in front of the people in the streets, attacking houses and poultry farms, which caused terror within the village.
For her part, Dr. Amal Al-Aseeli, undersecretary of the Ministry of Veterinary Medicine in Qalyubia, confirmed that, immediately after she learned of the complaint of the people, she instructed the director of the Veterinary Medicine Department in Kafr Shukr to work on a campaign to confront that phenomenon by placing a “taste of poison” in cutting the flesh, and put it in the locations of foxes to eliminate it, adding that foxes They often come from desert regions in search of food.
