Genesis officially unveils the first GV80 SUV in its history .. video and photos

Genesis officially unveiled the first SUV in its history under the name GV80, and is considered the first SUV for the Korean company after its success in the sedan classes across the G70, G80 and G90 and because of the high demand for SUV cars around the world it was necessary to enter this category. GV80’s new Genesis design language features separate headlamps, a relatively triangular grille with sharp corners and an overall elegant design, from the back, the front-shaped separate lights also appear with a slight protrusion at the tailgate.

The overall look of the GV80 looks simple and elegant and the company did not go for a bold design, which is what it succeeded in somewhat as the design of the GV80 looks comfortable with the presence of luxury and elegance in it.

In terms of size, the GV80 goes directly to compete with the Audi Q7, BMW X5 and Mercedes GLE, and the GV80 carries a relatively low sporty roof like the Audi Q7 in particular, which gives it more smoothness, in addition to making many of the components of the body from lightweight aluminum, and the exterior is completed with rims 22-inch, multiple touches of shiny chrome around the car.

The interior, on the other hand, needs a whole day to talk about. Genesis designers have created deluxe materials and elegant interiors for the longest range across the wide steering wheel through to the leather-trimmed dashboard, below which we see adaptation controls and a circular transmission. The entertainment system screen comes at the top of the 14.5 inch dashboard and another meter screen.

In terms of performance, the GV80 carries two engine options, the first being a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine with a capacity of 2.5 liters that produces 300 horsepower and 422 Nm of torque, while the stronger V6 turbo with a 3.5-liter capacity produces 375 horsepower and torque of 530 Nm -Meter, the base class of the GV80 is available with a rear-wheel drive while the all-wheel drive is optional, and the all-wheel drive comes standard in the higher classes.

Genesis hasn’t revealed GV80 prices yet, but we know it will reach our local markets in the second half of this year as the 2021 model.
