Gold prices rose in Egypt today, Friday, by two pounds, at the goldsmiths market, registering 686 pounds per gram of 21 carat, which is the most popular and best selling in Egypt, after the price of gold rose globally by 0.29%, raising the ounce from 1552 to 1557 dollars.

Gold prices witnessed a marked fluctuation and turmoil since the beginning of 2020 as a result of some political and security events in the east, which pushed the prices to rise to 1580 dollars, before retreating back below 1560 dollars currently, to record 1557 dollars an ounce.
