Ibrahim Hassan, former director of football at Smouha Club, confirmed that the absence of spirit from the team players during the confrontation of the border guards in the league led him and his brother Hossam to adhere to the departure from the Alexandrian team.
The Smouha and Border Guard match ended in a negative tie between the two teams, in the last appearance of the twins in the technical management of the Alexandrian team.
“We have always been looking for achievements and good results with the teams we train, but entering the team in the stage of a tie and loss was something we were not used to seeing,” Hassan said in televised comments on Cairo and El Nas channel.
He added: “The absence of the soul from the players in front of the guards is behind our adherence to leaving Smouha.”
He explained that the players in Egypt do not have any ambition, despite the possibilities that are available to them, unlike the previous clubs.
He continued: “Hardware is the main goal for players in Egypt, not performance on the field and the search for ambition.”
He pointed out that what feels sad is the fact that Faraj Amer, the club president, did not contact him before or after their last match with Smouha, despite the strong relationship that binds them.
And he completed his statements: “We were in difficult circumstances with Smouha and the club president knew about it, and after our departure we have not received any offers yet.”
