The Senegalese Alliou Badji, striker of the Austrian team Rapid Vienna, became the second deal for Al-Ahly in the winter transfer period after the contract with Mahmoud Abdel Moneim “Kahraba”.
Al-Ahly has officially announced the contract with the 22-year-old Senegalese for 4 and a half years starting this month.
Amir Tawfiq, Al-Ahly’s Contracting Director, told Masrawy that his club had been affiliated with Badji for a long time.
“We got the green light to negotiate with Badji after he got the admiration of Fyler for the player to be included in a shortlist of three players whose members competed.”
Al-Ahly’s Contracting Director added that Badji immediately agreed to Al-Ahly’s offer, preferring to other offers, indicating that the player saw the move to the red giant as a step in his football career.
Tawfiq revealed, “The only obstacle after the player’s approval was the requests of Rapid Vienna, where the negotiations took a long time until the agreement was reached.”
“The deal is worth 2 million euros, and they will be paid in installments for a year and a half.”
And ended, “Badji will conduct the necessary medical examination and exams tomorrow, then join the team’s training in preparation for participating in the upcoming matches.”
Badji had moved to the ranks of Rapid Vienna during the winter transfer period for the 2018/2019 season, coming from the Swedish Jorgordens worth one and a half million euros.
