The Liverpool team tied with its host Shrewsbury Town with two goals each, in the fourth round of the FA Cup, to wait for the two teams to face a replay according to the tournament regulations.

Liverpool advanced early by its rising star Curtis Jones in the fifteenth minute, and consolidated his progress in the first minute of the second half, after Shrewsbury’s Donald Love scored a goal in his own goal.

But the homeowners managed to turn the tables against the leaders of the Premier League table, as substitute Jason Cummings narrowed the lead by a penalty kick in the 65th minute, before the same player scored the equalizer in the 75th minute.

The Egyptian Mohamed Salah, the star of the Liverpool team, started the confrontation on the bench, before German coach Juergen Klopp pushed him in the ninety-nine minute instead of Cameroon defender Joel Matip.

Under the tournament regulations, the return match will be held on the away team’s stadium in the first encounter in the event of a tie, which means that Liverpool’s Anfield will host the confrontation at a later time.
