The Zamalek team resumed their team training Friday morning at the Abdul Latif Abu Rujaila Stadium in the White Castle headquarters, after the players got a break from Maran yesterday after beating El Gouna with two clean goals.
French coach Patrice Carteron, coach of Zamalek, held a session with the players before the start of team training, where he praised the level of the team during the recent period, specifically in the El Gouna match, stressing the need to continue in the same way during the upcoming matches.
The coach asked the players to close the El Gouna match file and focus on facing the upcoming Al-Masry, stressing the importance of winning this match and obtaining three points.
The team faces its Egyptian counterpart, Port Said, next Monday at the El Max Stadium in Alexandria, as part of the confrontations of the fourteenth round of the Premier League championship.
Abdullah Jumaa, the left back of the team, got a rest from the group training today, as he was injured in the face of the last El Gouna in the Premier League.
Dr. Mohamed Osama, head of the team’s medical device, said that Abdullah was injured in the posterior muscle during the last El Gouna match.
He added: “We are waiting for the result of the rumor made by the player to know the injury accurately, in addition to the date for his return to training again.”
Tariq Hamid, the team player, got a break from Maran today after his participation in the El Gouna match, which ended with Al-Abyad winning with two clean goals.
The technical staff of the team, led by the French Carteron, gave the player a break from training due to his absence from the Al-Masry match because he received the third warning.
Zamalek is third in the league table with 24 points, collected from 12 games, with 7 wins, 3 draws and 2 defeats.
