Nader Shawky, President of El-Gouna Football Club, confirmed that Zamalek, its rival in the 13th round of the Egyptian Premier League, deliberately wasted time in front of its team.
El Gouna lost at its home court (2-0) against Zamalek, with Mahmoud Shikabala and Mohamed Onagem’s duo, in a meeting that witnessed the wasting of many opportunities for the owners of the land.
In radio comments after the match, Shawky said: “This is football, whoever misses opportunities receives goals in the end, and we saw Zamalek, which is a great team that wastes time in front of us.”
Shawky added: “We accept the matter and seek compensation during the upcoming matches. Today we faced a distinguished guard, as Abu Jabal succeeded in facing many attempts.”
Shawky ended by talking about the possibility of strengthening his ranks: “It may happen in the minimal limits, we may support only one position with one deal, but I will not disclose the position so that the players do not lose their confidence in themselves in the upcoming games.”
