Sources told Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath that the Libyan National Army commander, Field Marshal Khalifa Hifter, refuses any Turkish mediation or participation in supervising the ceasefire in the country, pointing out that the Russian draft ignored a number of the Libyan army’s demands .
The sources added to “Al-Arabiya”, that the clause of withdrawing Turkish forces from Libya was not present in the truce, noting that Haftar is cautious not to freeze the agreement between “Al-Wefaq” and Turkey.
Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath correspondent reported earlier that Haftar arrived in Benghazi after he and his accompanying delegation left Moscow on Tuesday, without signing the cease-fire agreement in Libya.
He added that the clashes renewed in Salah al-Din, south of the Libyan capital, Tripoli, while the Libyan National Army announced on Facebook that its members were “ready and determined to achieve victory.”
