Major General Hani Saeed, Director of Civil Protection in Giza, commissioned a team to inspect the site of a Nile floating fire on the Great Sea Street, on Tuesday evening.
“Masrawy” obtained a video clip that monitors the first moments of the fire and the rise of flames in the Nile Corniche.
A responsible security source confirmed that the boat had been out of service for a long time, and the fire was likely due to the throwing of a person after a cigarette.
The beginning is due to the receipt of the civil protection operations officer in Giza, a signal from the Najda police of a massive fire in the “Safari” floating point in the Department of Giza.
Major General Hani Saeed, Director of Civil Protection in Giza, pushed 7 fire trucks, led by the head of the fire department, Colonel Alaa Khulusi, in coordination with the river fire extinguishers.
A force moved from the Giza police station to the fire site, and imposed a security cordon in conjunction with traffic officers to facilitate the firefighters’ mission.
Civil defense men put out the fire without casualties, and the firefighters’ commander constantly directed two cars to intervene in the event of an emergency.
It is noteworthy that the floating “Safari” was subjected to two fires earlier, the first in 2014 and the second about 3 years ago.
