The establishment of the new Egyptian “Bernice” military base, which includes arms branches for land, sea and air, is accompanied by successive regional and international variables. The speed and accuracy of implementation and construction along with diversity and diversity in the purposes are enhanced by the international rankings of the Egyptian armed forces among the various international armies.
The base is located on the Red Sea coast near the southern international border, east of the city of Aswan, and includes a naval base, an air base, a military hospital, a number of combat and administrative units and fields of shooting and training for all weapons.

The strategic goal of establishing the “Bernice” military base is to protect and secure the southern Egyptian coasts, protect economic investments and natural resources, and confront security challenges within the Red Sea as well as secure global navigation traffic through the axis of movement from the Red Sea to the Suez Canal and the associated economic areas.
The “Bernice” base is not the first of its kind. The Egyptian armed forces launched the “Mohamed Naguib” military base in 2017, replacing the military city in the Hammam region, which was established in 1993, with support for new administrative and technical units and the repositioning of a number of subsidiary units The northern military region inside it enhances its ability to secure vital areas, within the scope of its responsibility west of Alexandria and the northern coast region, which includes the Dabaa power station, the oil fields, the port of Marsa Al Hamra, the new city of El Alamein and others.

The Egyptian Armed Forces constructed all the buildings of the units stationed at the base with a total of 1155 buildings and facilities, and worked to develop and expand the external and internal roads of the base with a length of 72 km.
Also, 72 integrated fields were established, which included a complex for specialized training fields, shooting ranges, and a complex for electronic tactical shooting ranges, using the latest systems and imitators for shooting, developing and raising the efficiency and expansion of the sea landing platform in the Dean Region.
A constellation of naval bases
