The activities of the Sharm el-Sheikh International Heritage Festival will be launched today, under the patronage and presence of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, at the International Camel Track in Sharm El-Sheikh, which will witness performances and races for camel and Bedouin and Emirati heritage exhibitions with the participation and cooperation of the UAE.
Major General Khaled Fouda, Governor of South Sinai, late yesterday night inspected the final preparations for the start of the festival activities, and the activities will continue until January 18.
The festival includes a review of camel skills for the sister Emirates and a race for camels for the Egyptian tribes. Within the activities, an Egyptian-Egyptian joint exhibition will be held to display Bedouin heritage products from the UAE and Egypt, for more than 100 exhibitors in cooperation with the ministries of Social Solidarity, Trade and Industry in Egypt, in addition to folk art shows for the Arish Band for Folk Art in cooperation with the Ministry the culture.
In the presence of the ministers of youth, sports, culture, trade, industry, agriculture, and governors of governorates, who are famous for camel racing.
