Washington expels 21 Saudi soldiers for possession of child pornography

Washington / Anatolia

The Pentagon has decided to expel 21 Saudi military personnel who are training in US bases, following ongoing investigations into a shooting incident at a base in Florida.

On Monday evening, Alyssa Farah, a Pentagon spokeswoman, said in a statement that the US Department of Justice had investigated a shooting incident at the Pensacola Naval Base in Florida, December 6, 2019.

Farah added that the investigations showed the Saudi military’s possession of pornography of minors, and their posting of extremist, jihadist, and anti-American content on their social media accounts.

She pointed out that investigations have demonstrated that Saudi trainees have carried out activities of concern to the United States of America.

She confirmed that the American authorities informed Saudi Arabia of the results of the investigations, and that the Riyadh embassy cooperated in removing the said military personnel from American territory.
