Zamalek club is facing a difficult challenge against Mazembe when it hosts the Congo champion at exactly nine oclock in the stadium of Peace Stadium today, Friday, in the presence of 10,000 spectators.
The formation of Zamalek against Mazembe will not witness surprises from Carton, so Mustafa Mohamed will return to lead the attack instead of Omar Al-Saeed, and Mohammed Abdul Shafi will compensate for Abdullah Jumah’s absence.
The expected formation of Zamalek against Mazembe
Goalkeepers: Muhammad Abu Jabal.
Defense: Hazem Imam, Mahmoud Alaa, Mohamed Hamdi “Al-Wensh”, Mohamed Abdel-Shafi.
Center: Tariq Hamid, Ferjani Sassi.
Amid the attack: Mahmoud Abdel-Razek Shikabala, Youssef Ibrahim “Obama”, Ashraf Nachriqi.
And in the attack: Mustafa Muhammad.
Zamalek lost to Mazembe in the first round in his group (3-0), but he managed to score 7 points from 3 games after that, to get very close to qualifying to the quarter-finals.
It is noteworthy that Zamalek needs only one point to formally qualify for the quarter-finals, but it needs to win (3-0) at least to equal with Mazembe in direct confrontations and resort to the goal difference to clinch the lead in the last round.
