After Sisi intervened to end the crisis … Damietta Governorates received the fishermen

Dr. Manal Awad, Governor of Damietta, met with fishermen whose detention crisis was ended by the Yemeni authorities after they entered the territorial waters there, after the intervention of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to release them.

The Governor confirmed that coordination with the Director of Damietta Security and all concerned parties will be made to obtain a replacement for lost national ID cards, passports and all their official papers, as well as permits that are extracted by the Fish Resources Authority, adding that the necessary compensation will be paid to them.

Dr. Manal Awad explained that all agencies are keen to overcome obstacles and solve problems facing fishermen and secure them by making them aware of the need to adhere to maritime safety standards.

In the context, Damietta Governor thanked President Sisi for his efforts to care for Egyptians at home and abroad, stressing that what Egypt is witnessing now is an epic of joint work to secure and protect the people of the country.
