Books – Hadi Al-Madani:
Ahmed Mortada, a member of the Zamalek Board of Directors, stated that what Mahmoud Abdel Moneim “Kahraba” did was a reason for his team’s coronation in the Egyptian Super, saying that the Tunisian Esperance match will be more important than Al-Ahly in the Premier League.
Ahmed Mortada said in his statements to the official Zamalek channel: “The match was going normally until he participated in the match, and he overtook Tareq Hamed, and this is what caused Zamalek to win the match.”
He continued: “There is a difference between abusive chants from the fans that can be bridged, and a transgression on the field from one side against the other, and this is what caused problems on the field.”
He talked about his confrontation with Al-Ahly in the Premier League: “There is a desire within the Football Association Board to postpone the match between Zamalek and Al-Ahly, but no one among them knows how to reschedule, and if it is not postponed, there will be behavior on the part of the Zamalek administration.”
He added: “Al-Ahly’s upcoming match in the Premier League is not as important as the Esperance match. We have achieved two tournaments recently and the tournament is far from us, and the behavior will be based on this basis.”
Zamalek will play Al-Ahly on February 24th in the postponed match of the fourth round of the Premier League, before facing Tunisian Esperance 28 of the same month.
