Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced that he had raised donations during a ceremony honoring “makers of hope” in Dubai, with a value of 360 million Egyptian pounds (8.17 million dollars), for the benefit of Magdi Yaqoub Hospital in Aswan.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid said in his account on Twitter: “Today, the makers of Hope honored us in its third session .. A thousand congratulations to the winners .. Also, during the ceremony, donations of 360 million pounds were collected for the new Magdi Yaqoub Heart Hospital in Cairo .. Making Hope is the industry Where no one loses. ”
He added: “The UAE will continue to embrace the industry of goodness, hope and positivity in our Arab world … and it will remain incubator for all Arabs … and the love of goodness will remain in our Arab world continuous and accelerating.”
The ceremony saw contributions from a number of businessmen and companies in the Emirates to support the establishment and equipment of the hospital, while Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, announced a contribution to support the hospital equal to the total contributions of hope entrepreneurs.
It is noteworthy that Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum launched the Makers of Hope initiative in 2017, as the largest Arab initiative aimed at honoring humanitarian and community programs, projects and initiatives through which their owners seek to help others without charge, and the initiative in its third session received more than 92 thousand participants from all Throughout the Arab world, compared to 87 thousand participants in the 2018 session, and 65 thousand participants in the first session in 2017.
