Pyramids goalkeeper Mahdi Soliman starred to protect his team’s net against Ismaili, and lead the Anti Chacic squad to the Egypt Cup quarter-finals.

Pyramids defeated Al-Ismaili 1-0 in the 16th round of the Egypt Cup.

The goal of the Pyramids victory came in the fifth minute by John Antoe after a superb pass from Abdullah Al Saeed.

Al-Saeed exploited the Antoine incursion into the Ismaili penalty area, before sending a “lube” pass around Antoine into the window.

Ahmed Madbouly missed a goal against the Pyramids goal, thanks to the brilliance of Mehdi Suleiman in the 33rd minute.

In the 45th minute, and from a distinct receiving skill, Piketty Silva fired a shot from inside the penalty area, which Mahdi Suleiman tackled carefully to keep his team’s net in the first half.

Mahdi Suleiman continued to shine in the second half, against Mohammed Al-Shami’s chances.

Shine led his team to reach the Egypt Cup quarter-finals, to face the vanguard of the Army.
