The Egyptian Al-Ahly player, Hossam Ashour, defended the “Red Genie” fans, against the backdrop of the skirmishes that occurred after losing the Super Cup title to Zamalek on penalties (4-3) yesterday, Thursday, in the UAE.
Ashour said, through his official account on the site “Instagram”: “Al-Ahly’s fans will remain the greatest, and it is the shield of safety and we never accept the abuse of his right, or the right of Al-Ahly.”
He added: “We promise everyone to respond to everyone who offended, on the field, as we learned inside the Al-Ahly Club.”
A number of Zamalek players, led by Mahmoud Abdel Razek “Shikabala” and Abdullah Jumaa, had entered into skirmishes with Al-Ahly fans, after Al-Ahmar lost the super title.
