Manchester United legend Gary Neville said the Egyptian Mohamed Salah is a Liverpool player, he prefers “Moo” to his teammates Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, pointing out that obtaining a player like him is not easy.
Salah contributed to his team yesterday’s victory over West Ham United 3-2 in the 27th round of the English Premier League match, raising the Reds’ balance to 79 points.
During comments reported by the British “Daily Mail” newspaper, Neville said that the fans’ retreat in support of Salah is due to their belief that he will leave the team during the coming period.
Neville said: “It is never easy to find a player like Salah, I said 18 months ago that Salah would leave, there is a feeling from many that he wants to play for Real Madrid or Barcelona and will take a big step towards this dream, and this is not a criticism of him.”
He continued: “Is Salah fit to leave Liverpool? Yes, perhaps he uses Liverpool as a starting point for his career, but honest, Real Madrid and Barcelona represent the summit for many players.”
He said, “I love Mani and Firmino, but I would have dispensed with them and content myself with goodness.”
It is worth mentioning that Salah joined the ranks of Liverpool at the start of the 2017/2018 season, coming from Rome, Italy, and he succeeded in achieving 90 goals so far in various competitions, as well as making 37 successful passes.
