For his part, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi stressed that the continuation of conflicts and the increase in the risks of terrorism and extremism are the main challenges facing the African continent.

Meanwhile, Algerian President Abdel Majid Taboun said, “The solution to the crises on our continent must be peaceful, without any foreign interference.”
On the Libya crisis, Taboun revealed that “the situation in Libya is a source of concern for Algeria, and that the Libyan people do not deserve the scourges that they are experiencing today.”
Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, stressed that Libya is witnessing a serious escalation of the crisis, calling for consolidating the existing truce and reaching permanent arrangements for a ceasefire and monitoring it, and stopping all forms of external interference in Libyan affairs.
For his part, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said, “The fight against terrorism in Africa is a prerequisite for achieving sustainable development,” adding that the international partnership with Africa is extremely important.
