Ahmed El-Sayed Zizou, player of the Zamalek team, confirmed that his team’s victory over Ismaili in the league gave the players a strong boost before facing Esperance in the African Super.

Al-Zamalek club returned from being late to Al-Ismaili, to win a two-goal victory, on Sunday evening, in the framework of the matches of round 17 of the Egyptian Premier League.

The Zamalek team will meet its Tunisian counterpart, Esperance next Friday, in the African Super Cup to be held in the Qatari capital, Doha.

“Zizou” said in statements on On Sport, that facing Ismaili and achieving victory gave the players a strong boost before colliding with the Tunisian Esperance over the African Super.

He added that the victory had to be achieved before the next match of the team in the African Super against Esperance, noting that Zamalek players pledged to achieve a positive result before traveling to Doha.

He pointed out that Zamalek closed the Ismaili page in the league, and is currently focusing on his next encounter against Esperance Tunis in the African Super.

He pointed out that the team will play in the coming days on two important championships, namely the Egyptian Super and the African Super, and will seek to win them for the sake of the Zamalek fans.

He concluded his statements: “I think that the difficult consecutive games he plays with Zamalek is a positive thing. It is fortunate for any player to be with a large team competing for many championships, so all players will try to be responsible.”
