The countries of the Philippines, Panama and Colombia announced the death of 9 people with the Corona virus, while El Salvador imposed curfews in an attempt to contain the spread of the virus.
In the Philippines, the Ministry of Health said that 6 new deaths were recorded, bringing the total deaths to 25, and 73 new cases were recorded, bringing the total number of cases to 380,
In Colombia, the Ministry of Health confirmed the death of the first case as a result of the Corona virus, adding that the victim was a 58-year-old man who was working as a taxi driver in the coastal city of Cartagena.
The ministry added that on March 4 this man transported Italian tourists in his car and showed his first symptoms two days later, and said that the man was being treated for stress and diabetes.
This patient was treated for the first time on March 13 and died three days later, and the statement said that two tests to detect corona proved that he was not infected with the virus, but one of them was taken incorrectly.
Tests showed his sister, a doctor who was treating him, and one of the people who had been riding in the car with him.
In Panama, health authorities said that two more people died of the virus, bringing the total number of deaths from this virus in Panama to three.
This comes as the President of El Salvador, Naguib Aboukila, announced late Saturday night, imposing a 30-day curfew in response to the “Corona” outbreak.
