Al-Ahly club has registered its reservation to referee Bakari Jasama to manage the Red Genie match against the South African Mamelodi Sun Downs, in the African Champions League.
Al-Ahly hosts Mamelodi Sun Downs in the third on Saturday afternoon at Lucas Moribi’s stadium in the second leg of the African Champions League quarter-finals.
Al-Ahly club is looking to ensure the principle of equal opportunities and achieving arbitration justice in its next match against Sun Downs, in light of the unsuccessful history of Bakri Jasama in his management of the Red Genie confrontations before.
Al-Ahly and intensified contacts with the Confederation of African Football, more than two weeks ago, to record his concerns and fears after the referees ’committee’s decision to appoint Jasama to manage the Sun Downs confrontation, where officials of the Red Castle expressed an unclear insistence on choosing the Gambian referee to manage this match.
Al-Ahly’s administration called during its contacts with CAF officials the need to monitor the performance of the referee, Carrie Jasama;
Al-Ahly beat Sun Downs with two goals without a reply, which was scored by Tunisian international Ali Maaloul, in the first leg match held at the Cairo Stadium stadium last Saturday.
Previously, Bukhari Jassama has managed 9 matches for Al-Ahly Club in African competitions, losing 3 of them, drawing 2 others, and winning only 4 confrontations.
Al-Ahly club did not succeed in recording any win or draw away from its stadium in matches managed by Al-Jambi Jasama, where it lost to the financial stadium with a clean goal and Morocco Tetouan with the same result, before losing to the red giant the Champions League title in 2017 after the latter lost against Wydad Casablanca Clean.
