There are no cases of renewable corona virus in the university, but we are taking proactive measures to support local and international efforts to limit its spread
The American University in Cairo today announced its decision to offer a spring vacation date to start Sunday 15 March for a week, and the University will in this period refine its willingness to transfer all forms of teaching to be online.
Upon resuming studies on Sunday March 22nd, the university will begin a two-week test for teaching online.
It is worth noting that the American University in Cairo will remain open and fully operational during these many weeks.
With this decision, the American University in Cairo joins dozens of universities in the United States of America that have taken this proactive step in response to the outbreak of the Corona virus, especially after the World Health Organization declared the renewed corona virus a global epidemic, and urged them to join forces to work together to limit its spread by reducing contact Social washing of hands and reducing gatherings whenever possible.
Although there are as yet no confirmed cases of the renewed coronavirus among faculty, students, or university staff, the university is working proactively to support Egyptian and international efforts to stop its spread.
It is worth noting that the American University in Cairo continuously sends data to the university community and information related to health precautions, travel, emergency plan and preparations. She also created a special page on the university’s website that includes all updates and data issued by the university, the World Health Organization, the Centers for Disease Control in the United States of America, and the Egyptian government, which are www.aucegypt.edu/coronavirus
