The prices of a number of Arab and foreign currencies fell against the pound during the past week, as the dollar continued to rise.
The price of the Kuwaiti dinar fell against the pound in the National Bank of Egypt during the past week, to record yesterday 50.18 pounds for purchase and 50.89 pounds for sale compared to 50.81 pounds for purchase and 51.47 pounds for sale.
The price of the Saudi riyal in the National Bank stabilized to record yesterday 4.15 pounds for purchase and 4.20 pounds for sale.
On Thursday, the euro price fell to 16.78 pounds for purchase, 17.33 pounds for sale, compared to 17.30 pounds for purchase and 17.85 pounds for sale.
The selling price of the British pound fell to 17.99 pounds for purchase yesterday and 18.61 pounds for sale, compared to 19.55 pounds for purchase and 20.24 pounds for sale.
The selling price of the Qatari riyal stood at 4.1 pounds for purchase yesterday and 4.33 pounds for sale, and the UAE dirham increased a penny to record 4.26 pounds for purchase and 4.27 pounds for sale.
On Thursday, the dollar price in the National Bank of Egypt increased 3 piasters to 15.68 pounds for purchase and 15.78 pounds for sale.
