Despite the suspension of sporting events, Esperance qualified for the Tunis Cup

The Tunisian Sports Club Esperance qualified for the quarter-finals of the Tunis Cup by beating its counterpart, Mestakbal Al-Marsa, with two clean goals.

The match between the two teams was held on Sunday morning, without the attendance of the fans, at Abdulaziz Al-Shtaiwi Stadium.

Esperance player Abdul Raouf Bin Ghaith scored the match goals in the 31st minute, from penalty kick 90.

The meeting comes, despite the announcement of the Tunisian Ministry of Sports, the suspension of all sporting events internally and externally due to the dangers of the emerging Corona virus.

The Tunis Cup is considered one of the competitions that are still ongoing in light of the suspension of all sports competitions around the world due to the outbreak of the Corona virus (Covid-19).
