3 days after the direction of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Nevine El Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, announced the start of disbursing the five allowances to pensioners, starting on July 1.
The Minister of Solidarity said, during a phone call to the program “Happening in Egypt”, with the media, Sharif Amer, today, Wednesday, that the Five Allowances Law remained a great period in a state of conflict between the government and pensioners for more than 5 years, praising the President’s directives to spend the five bonuses for pensioners .
And she continued: “This law was not included in the budget for the current year, and from the year 2006 to 2015 the frozen cost is very large and reached 27.6 billion pounds, and the annual cost reached 7 billion pounds annually … We are talking about 35 billion pounds, we will start spending them on July 1, 2020 “.
And President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi resolved 3 days ago, the crisis of including the five bonuses for pensioners, by announcing the inclusion of these allowances to those who are entitled to them, at 80% of the basic wage.
Who benefits from the decision?
Since 2006, the government no longer adds 80% of the five bonuses not included in the basic wage to pensioners upon reaching the age of the pension, which means that everyone who got out of the pension from 2006 until 2015, the time of the issuance of the civil service law that abolished the variable wage and the wage The basic, will benefit from judgment.
In order to obtain the bonus, the pensioner must have subscribed for this bonus within his insurance fee.
Omar Hassan, adviser to the Minister of Solidarity Insurance and Pensions, estimated in previous statements to Masrawy the number of beneficiaries of the ruling to add 80% of the value of the last 5 allowances to pensioners, at more than two million pensioners.
Hassan added that the number of beneficiaries working in government agencies amounts to 1.6 million, and that the beneficiaries from the private sector are within the limits of half a million beneficiaries.
