FilGoal | News | Abdel Monsef: Takis Junias was nominated for Zamalek … and 4 teams tried to sign him

Wadi Degla goalkeeper Mohamed Abdel Monsef revealed his earlier attempt to nominate former team coach Takis Junias for Zamalek to sign him.

“Several teams have tried to contract with Takis, such as the Alexandrian Federation, the Clearinghouse, El Gouna and Pyramids,” Miteb said to the program “Audience Al Thaltah” broadcast on “On Time Sports 2”.

“I met Ahmed and Amir Mortada Mansour and I nominated Takis for them after one of the team’s coaches left.”

He continued, “I told them that he will make Zamalek win over any team in Egypt and Africa, especially since the club includes distinguished capabilities among its players and the coach will not need much time to show the results of his work, contrary to what happened with us in the Tigris.”

And he added, “Takis stayed for six or seven months to show his work with us, and this was a very wonderful thing, which was not normal. What he did with us.”

He concluded, “But I think that Zamalek did not contract him for fear of any failures that occur in the beginning.”
