The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced its unanimous approval, in consultation with the Emergency Committee, that Abdel Moneim Bah will be appointed as the Secretary General (Acting Secretary General).

Abdel Moneim Bah is the Chairman of the Marketing Committee, and it was decided to appoint him as Acting General Secretary.
Bah will serve as Secretary General temporarily until the next meeting of the Executive Committee, while he will continue to serve as Chairman of the Marketing Committee in which he has been appointed since June 2018.
Kaf revealed in an official statement the unanimous approval of appointing Abdel Moneim Bah as Secretary General and accepting the resignation of Moaz Hajji.
Kafe pointed out that all the members had full confidence in Abdel Moneim Bah regarding the qualities that have emerged since his arrival in the African Union, especially during the 2019 African Nations Cup in Egypt.
