Al-Masry tied with Nahdet Berkane with two goals for each team at the new Suez stadium, in the away leg of the African Confederation quarter-finals.
Moftah Taktak and Zuhair El-Orouby scored the Egyptian goal, while Mohsen Yagour scored the goal of Nahdet Berkane.
Al-Masry played the match in the presence of 1000 fans only by a decision of the security despite the transfer of the match from Alexandria Stadium to the new Suez stadium. A match was the first with Tariq El-Ashry, the new coach, to replace Ihab Jalal, who resigned.
Tariq El-Ashry has brought Saidou Sempoure back into midfield, while Omar Kamal Abdel Wahed started as a left back in the absence of Bahaa Magdy.
