Football Association announces VAR stadiums

Amr El-Ganayni, head of the five-party committee tasked with managing the Egyptian Football Association, has revealed temporarily that the “VAR” video technology will be applied to 11 stadiums.

The VAR technology will be located on stadiums: (Cairo – Salam – Air Defense – Petrosport – Arab Contractors – Military Sports Authority – Ismailia – Suez – Alexandria – El Max – Military College)

Al-Janaini added in statements during the press conference that was held inside the Egyptian Football Association, that there are attempts to apply the technology to five stadiums: the Army Stadium in Suez – El Gouna (Khaled Bechara Stadium) – Tanta Stadium – Aswan Stadium and finally the “Burj Al Arab” stadium in Alexandria.

The chairman of the quinquennial committee continued his statements: “contracting with the company that will implement video technology for three and a half seasons, and we will be the first Arab country besides Morocco to implement the technology from the second round.”

Al-Janaini explained that he obtained approval to implement the “VAR” technology only two days ago, but this was with a clear schedule through which the day and the hour were determined.

It is scheduled that the technique will be applied starting from the match of Enppi and Pioneers of the Army, which will be held this evening within the beginning of the second round of the league competition within the accounts of the nineteenth round.
