Gamal El-Ghandour, head of the main referees committee of the Egyptian Football Association, explained that not returning the moment of return to the technique of assisting video referee when canceling a goal for El-Gouna in the Ismaili window, is due to the director of the meeting.
Al-Ghandour said in statements on the Youth and Sports Radio, that the only negative situation that appeared in today’s meeting is due to the failure of the assistant referee to flag the moment when there was an infiltration against Ahmed Yasser Rayan.
The ruler of the Referees Committee said: “The only negative situation in the first actual use of the technology is that the auxiliary ruling did not raise the flag of the presence of infiltration against Ahmed Yasser Rayan at the right time.”
He added: “The moment the referee returns to the video technology when proving the existence of an infiltration that was not televised, but this incident is not the responsibility of the referees or the technical car.”
He concluded: “The director of the match is responsible for television replays, and it seems that he did not realize the matter at the time, but he recovered from the situation at the beginning of the second half, and we saw the technique when returning to it in other cases.”
It is worth noting that the El Gouna match with Ismaili witnessed the first actual use of video rule technology in the Egyptian League matches, after I had been present in the Vanguard’s meeting with Enppi before, but it was not referred to.
