The bad weather wave continued to hit the coast of Alexandria, in the early hours of Friday morning, accompanied by heavy thunderstorms, and a decrease in temperatures, in the second days of severe weather fluctuations that affected the governorates of Egypt.
Most of the coastal city streets were empty of passers-by after midnight on Friday, while major roads throughout the governorate witnessed traffic fluidity in conjunction with the rains.
Separate streets in the Alexandria neighborhoods witnessed accumulations of rain water, especially for the popular areas that face some problems in the secondary roads and the sewage network.
Alexandria Governorate devices raised the maximum degree of preparedness and emergency in the sewage company to deal with the wave and precipitation, in addition to pushing a number of cars equipped to withdraw water from the roads.
And Reda El-Ghandour, the spokesperson for Alexandria Port Authority, confirmed that the marine navigation traffic in Alexandria and Dekheila ports was not affected by the rain, pointing to raising the degree of readiness to facilitate the work of loading and unloading and the movement of ships.
