Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Ahmed Nasser Al-Muhammad Al-Sabah reviewed his country’s measures to deal with the Corona virus, and also touched on the relationship with Egypt, according to CNN Arab.
The Kuwaiti foreign minister said, at a press conference, on Saturday evening, that the relationship with Egypt is “strong and has its specificity,” denying Cairos pressure to introduce Egyptians to his country.
“The statements of the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister came during a state of verbal exchange between a number of citizens of the two countries against the background of campaigns of incitement via Twitter against Egyptians working in Kuwait, claiming that they were infected with Corona virus,” according to CNN.
The Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed that Egypt had not exerted any pressure to bring its nationals into his country, and he denied the validity of the rumors that the Egyptian government was intransigent towards Kuwaiti students.
