“Is the Minister of Health and Population subject to quarantine procedures after her return from China?” … a question that comes to the minds of many, after the departure of Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population, to the People’s Republic of China, commissioned by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, to convey a message of solidarity to the Chinese people.
Al-Watan directed the question to an official source at the Ministry of Health, to answer that the minister, upon her return from China scheduled for the end of this week, accompanied by Dr. Khaled Mujahid, media spokesman for the ministry, and Mohamed Sobhi, director of protocols at the ministry, will be subject to medical examination procedures in the quarantine at Cairo Airport.
The source added, for “Al-Watan”, that the minister will be examined and examined, and her companions will be given a stamp of quarantine confirming the process of examining them, and editing the health monitoring cards for them, and if there is a suspicion of an injury, preventive medical procedures will be followed for them.
The Ministry of Health and Population had previously announced a set of precautionary measures to be followed by the Ministry, in case of suspicion or infection of the emerging corona virus, we review it in the following points.
1. Passengers traveling from China are subject to passage of quarantine procedures at the airport, by measuring their temperature.
2. In the event of a rise in temperature and the suspected injury, the cases are transferred by autoclaved cars to isolation hospitals for a period of 14 days, which is the incubation period of the virus.
3. In the event that symptoms of the disease do not appear, follow-up cards are issued for arrivals, including their personal information and their place of residence, and they are contacted and medical checks are carried out on a daily basis until the illness incubation period ends.
