Osama Haikal, the Minister of State for Information, warned against taking more violent measures in the event of the increase in the incidence of Corona virus to one thousand.
He continued, during a telephone interview with the journalist Mustafa Bakri, on the “Facts and Secrets” program, broadcast on the channel “Echo of the Country”, that in the case of high levels of Corona virus infection to a thousand cases, the interests of work will be suspended with the closure of roads and the isolation of specific governorates.
Osama Haikal revealed that the government has taken many measures to tackle the Corona virus, revealing that everyone has responded to government measures.
He stressed that the problem of the accumulation of citizens in the subway is overcome by increasing the number of subway cars so as not to cause heavy traffic, and many measures have been taken in this regard.
He said that journalists and media workers are among the groups that were excluded from the decision to implement the curfew from seven in the evening until six in the morning as part of measures to limit the spread of the Corona virus.
He continued that some journalists were exposed to situations during their passage of some ambushes during the ban period, and a large part of the problems related to this matter were solved.
Osama Heikal added that President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi praised the media during its handling of the Corona virus crisis, stressing that the media is responsible and interacted with the available information, and a method was followed to make the information available quickly.
