Mujahid: a trend towards the semi-final of the Champions League from one match in Cameroon

Ahmed Mujahid, a member of the Football Association and member of the Organizing Committees for the African Nations Championships in the African Union, revealed that there is thinking inside “enough” in the event of the return of football activity by holding the semi-final matches of the African Champions League and the Confederation Championship from one match.

It is worth noting that the Football Association has announced the suspension of football activity in all degrees of competitions for a period of 15 days, based on instructions from Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly, and Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, after reviewing the recommendations of the Medical Committee of the Football Association.

In the same context, an official source of the Football Association confirmed that the league, if canceled, will be considered as if not, according to the regulations.

The source pointed out that the difference in points between the competing teams does not resolve the struggle for the title or the decline, and therefore the tournament, if canceled, will be considered as if it were not from the foundation. The Football Association said in an official statement, “According to the directives of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Youth and Sports, and after reviewing the recommendations of the Medical Committee of the Egyptian Football Association, the Egyptian Football Association decided to suspend the game for a period of 15 days, starting next Monday, March 16, and the decision applies to All grades of local competitions and all ages. ” Al-Ahly club occupies the top of the general league table with 49 points, and the Swiss team, led by Swiss Rene Vyler, had won 16 consecutive games before drawing with Smouha in the match of the 18th round of the local championship.
