Portuguese star Ronaldo donates to his country to face the Corona outbreak

Juventus, Cristiano Ronaldo, and his agent Jorge Mendes have donated medical materials to Portuguese hospitals to help people infected with the Corona virus, a British report said on Tuesday.

According to the newspaper.Daily Mail“British, Ronaldo and his agent are funding three intensive care units for patients with coronavirus infection in Lisbon and Porto hospitals, in addition to donating one million pounds sterling.

The newspaper added that the Portuguese national team captain and his representative are planning to equip two wards at the Santa Maria Hospital in Lisbon and one at the Santo Antonio Hospital in Porto.

In Santa Maria, the two pavilions will have ten beds and respirator (intensive care) equipment, while in Santo Antonio the pavilion will contain fifteen beds and respiratory aids.

Portugal has recorded 2,362 cases of Corona virus, and 29 people have died so far, which is low compared to Italy and Spain, but its health system is under great pressure.
