Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly said that the state, with all its institutions, is working under the guidance of the political leadership and support from the armed forces and the Ministry of the Interior, around the clock to confront the repercussions that may result from bad weather and rains in Egypt since yesterday.

The Prime Minister indicated – during a press conference in the Operations Room of the Council of Ministers after listening to the reports of the conservatives today – that he has been following himself from yesterday to moment by moment with all the governors and through the operations room in the Center of Ministers developments of the situation in their governorates.

The Prime Minister stated that the conditions are stable so far in the governorates, and that all ministers, governors and officials are present around the clock and all developments are followed, water withdrawals and the provision of the necessary equipment to face all the problems caused by rainfall.

He pointed out that the rain may reach places in some places to the point of torrential rain, so the leave was approved to spare citizens the damages of bad weather, calling on citizens to avoid going to the street except in the case of necessity and stay away from the lighting poles.

He stressed that the state has taken proactive moves to confront these emergency situations from the beginning by approving the leave and warning the citizens, and giving the state agencies the opportunity to work on the ground and removing any problems due to bad weather and rainfall, and called on citizens to understand some exceptional measures such as reducing water pressure in some areas to reduce the burden on Drainage networks and to face and absorb the amounts of rain.
